Has experience of dealing with individual employment rights cases (from unfair dismissal to discrimination) and with collective issues (TUPE, industrial action cases, trade union discipline cases etc) and trade union organisation (statutory supervision and control, organisation and government etc). In doing this, he has worked both as a Trade Union officer and as a Solicitor in private practice.

Interests:
Member of Institute of Employment Rights, Industrial Law Society, Employment Lawyers Association. Particularly interested in politics and current affairs. Professes to have a Renaissance view on life, with a resulting wide range of interests from walking to cinema and theatre, from being a watcher of sport (particularly Rugby League) to being a keen reader (both literature and non-fiction).
